Paris Fashion Week
In anticipation for my trip to Paris Fashion Week, I thought I would share a video postcard I shot the last time I was there, featuring Tabitha Simmons shoes and the lovely song, "All I Want", by Angela McCluskey. Enjoy!

Mexico City, Mexico.
Not a recent trip, but relevant. It has many unexpected, beautiful fountains of life. Whether it is for food, art, music, or shopping. Go. Mexico City has an undeniable weight on the international scene. Here are photos from my trip, but not limited to my experience. If you are up to going please inquire and I will give you the complete guide. Enjoy-
Stumbled upon a billiards room. Open all day, and I think all night. Played a couple of rounds, fared well, but was distracted by the retro beauty of the place.
We stayed at the amazing Condesa Hotel, and I suggest a room with a balcony. They are very romantic and give you a view, but more importantly a feeling of the neighborhood and a great rooftop bar overlooking the city.
The local market that is not on the map and not for the uptown locals. No need to try to blend in, they recognize you as a foreigner, but don't hold it against you. They invite you to smell, taste, and of course buy. Still can't stop thinking of the women selling squash blossoms. Wanted to buy the whole bag and bring them back to NYC, stuff them with cheese and put them on every restaurant's menu. I was definitely at market with a hole in my bag.
An unexpected lunch companion, the bicycle knife sharpener-

POSTCARDS PLEASE!
A friend started sending me postcards when she traveled a few years ago. It was such a delight to open the mailbox and have a note, a sentiment, a thought, a picture from someone who took a moment out of her trip to think of someone else. Needless to say, I was touched and happy to have her in my life, but it also inspired me to try and send a postcard on my travels to friends and family. Something little, but very sweet.
Simon recently found these envelopes with picturesque scenes of Tahiti, that he saved from the time he spent there during his military service. (That's a whole other story!) I love that they have the postcard picture, but can hold a multiple page letter rather than the usual small space on the backside of a postcard. Relics from a time before email and instant messaging.
So if you are on your next trip and looking for souvenirs for friends, maybe send a postcard instead!

ROCKHOUSE, JAMAICA
Went to Jamaica for a quick get away. Needed a break from the city and to feel some sunshine.
We stayed at the Rockhouse Hotel, which is a collection of villas built into the rocky coast of Negril. A water view from every one, makes it is hard not to find a spot to see the daily sunsets, either from your deck, or from the pool, or from one of the three restaurants on the property. We didn't venture out, except a glass bottom boat ride with Vincent and his boys. Loved spotting starfish through the glass! For swimming, you have the choice of the salt water pool or the ocean right outside your doorstep. I preferred the latter, jumping in from the cliffs and snorkeling. It really gave one a sense of being free in nature, just what we needed from this trip.
